Fast-track Process for Protocol Submission

August 2008, Environment Canada released a draft Guide for Protocol Developers which outlined a “fast track” protocol development process for a list of eligible external protocols.

IPOG is coordinating/facilitating a GHG offset process through its broad membership for the adaptation of all protocols in a timely manner.

IPOG Priorities

At IPOG's 2008 AGM held in Toronto Ontario, two main priorities were identified:

In the long term, IPOG is focused on integrating offsets into emissions trading systems and ensuring offset fungibility is a focus in equivalency agreements.
